Job Description:

The Manager, Channel Marketing role will serve as the marketing lead for the institutional and retirement sales channels. The role is responsible for understanding the business objectives for our institutional and retirement clients, keeping an open line of feedback from sales, and communicating objectives and needs to Channel Marketing peers and the larger marketing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy around coordinating with coordinating with the assigned sales teams and the broader marketing team to prioritize campaign concepts pertinent to each audience, identify key deliverables, draft promotion communications, and deliver analytics for channel-specific endeavors.
  • Effectively manage the channel focused team by implementing best practices in problem solving for channel nuances, communicating deliverables and analytics to channels, and delivering feedback from sales to marketing leaders.
  • Serve as a dedicated consultant, advocate and resource for the channel leadership teams, and be a single point of contact for ad-hoc requests arising from sales channels.
  • Keep abreast of additional firm-wide campaign initiatives that correspond to the strategic growth drivers. 
  • Partner with multiple marketing entities to effectively execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Stay abreast of financial industry developments and marketplace opportunities and challenges to inform strategy and contribute to benchmarking.
  • Measure and continually seek to enhance the effectiveness of our sales and marketing strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience in the financial services industry, working with senior executives in a global business environment.
  • Strategically minded and self-motivated with the ability to manage a best-in-class team of marketing contacts to serve our Global Client Group.
  • Proactive with proven track record of implementing multichannel marketing strategies through traditional institutions, institutional consultants, family offices, retirement audiences, and other institutional clients.  
  • Experience with an asset management firm focused on institutional clients. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build trust and influence, and to collaborate effectively with and across teams to achieve the best results.
  • Adept at juggling numerous projects and managing multiple stakeholders while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and present information in a meaningful way.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
  • FINRA Series 7 license preferred.
