Become a part of our vibrant CEO Office team, where we provide support to JPMSE's Chief Executive Officer and manage the coordination and oversight of the bank's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.
As an ESG senior Associate within our CEO Office team, you will assist our Chief of Staff in propelling ESG initiatives and further refining the ESG governance framework. In this, you will be instrumental in progressing our ESG agenda. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to formulate, execute, and monitor strategies that align with our dedication to sustainability, social responsibility, and robust governance practices. This position demands a well-organized, energetic, and experienced individual who can take ownership of ESG topics with a structured approach. The ideal candidate should be capable of engaging and motivating others to contribute and be comfortable challenging working group members to ensure the delivery of high-quality results.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior stakeholders to develop and execute ESG strategies and initiatives.
- Contribute to JPMSE's strategic planning process and participate in the preparation of the annual report.
- Conduct research and analysis on ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making.
- Interact with local and regional stakeholders, including business managers, Finance, and Risk & Control teams.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders on ESG-related matters.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute ESG projects and monitor progress towards objectives.
- Facilitate the integration of ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
- Enhance our ESG governance framework, conduct governance meetings, and oversee and report on ESG performance metrics.
- Assist the Chief of Staff with internal and external audit inquiries and regulatory requests.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Economics or a related field.
- Strong proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or business management roles.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends, and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, showing personal initiative, ownership, and accountability, while knowing when to seek advice or guidance from peers or management.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
- Fluent in both German and English, with strong oral and written skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- A Master's degree or MBA in Economics or a related field is advantageous.
