What to Expect
Learn about investment banking team and help our senior bankers serve clients. As an Analyst, you’ll join a team of experts including economists, research and industry specialists who develop insights for clients including companies in the market and industry trends. You’ll be part of a team that provides information to help clients make decisions about raising capital, investing, and managing risk. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of projects and responsibilities, from analyzing company information to preparing presentations and reports. You’ll also have the opportunity to interface & gain exposure to capital markets and investment banking teams.

About you
The CRG Technical Transaction Team (TTT) team sits within and is a critical element of the 60+ person J.P. Morgan North American Oil and Gas Investment Bank. We are a part of the global oil and gas team with office in Houston. We are regularly involved with valuation, technical side and buy-side asset and corporate advisory roles in the upstream and midstream space, including supporting banking teams in IPOs, debt offerings, asset level evaluation of technical data, asset and corporate models and providing technical insight.
We are looking to recruit an energetic Petroleum engineer who will work as a core member of J.P. Morgan’s CRG TTT. This person will be responsible for technical evaluation of oil and gas assets through data analysis, Technical-Transaction analysis, decline curve creation, and asset/corporate company corporate model assisting in generating and preparing pitch materials and offering presentations.

Education/Vocational Requirements B.Tech or M.Tech in Petroleum Engineering Investment banking or consulting experience is a plus
The TTT Engineer should have the following skills and experience:
- Strong fundamental understanding of the oil and gas value chain as it relates to conventional and unconventional assets
- Should be proficient in technical and technical evaluation of oil and gas assets
- Should be proficient in technical data analysis and application to technical models
- Should be proficient in technical data and data collection and amalgamation utilities (i.e. Enverus, IHS etc.)
- Should be proficient in high quality global data analysis and application to technical models
- Should possess logical aptitude for Python, VBA and R programming
- Knowledge of financial markets and corporate finance
- Ability to work independently and possess strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
