Performs a variety of duties related to distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the facility. Inventories and replenishes medical supply carts and fills departmental stock orders. Coordinates supply and equipment flow throughout the hospital, prioritizing STAT and routine delivery schedules. Performs basic clerical type duties required for the continuous, efficient operation of the Materials Management Department.
Responsibilities- Inventories par supply carts for patient care areas on a daily basis. Requests the appropriate quantities on all items to bring each up to its’ designated par level. Enters each order into the Materials Management information system. Performs cleaning/maintance of all par supply carts.
- Ensures that par supply carts are filled to par on a daily basis and that any excess is returned to stock. Checks and verifies that all supplies on the par supply carts are within expiration dates. If expired items are found, returns the item for shipment to charity; replenishes the cart and charges the department accordingly.
- Enters floor stock orders into the Materials Management information system, prints pull list and picks items from stock for delivery to the floor. Delivers all stock and non-stock supplies to the requesting departments. As required by facility prints new order forms as needed and replaces in stock order book prior to product delivery.
- Handles walk-in customers and pager calls from user departments; makes sure issues are completed in the information system prior to releasing the product.

- Special Skills:
- Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.
- Must perform repetitive duties on a daily basis, be detail minded and organized.
- Must be self-motivated and able to coordinate and prioritize workload in order to complete work and meet daily deadlines. Excellent customer service skills.
- Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 1 year in central supply.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
