As an Associate, you will provide the analytical foundation for that work. You will support the senior leaders of the CDO organization, working most closely with the Chief of Staff and the Director, Corporate Development, and contributing to the analysis and materials presented to the Executive Committee and the Board.
Nokia Corporate Development works AI-first. You will be expected to use frontier AI models daily and to develop your own tooling - agents, scripts and automated data pipelines that increase the team's speed and analytical reach.
The role offers significant exposure: a small team, senior stakeholders and material decisions, with visibility across the full transaction lifecycle from initial screening to completion.
Responsibilities
- Build valuation and transaction models, including DCF, trading and transaction comparables, accretion/dilution, LBO, synergy cases and scenario analysis
- Translate analysis into executive-ready presentations for senior decision-makers
- Conduct market, competitor and target screening; size markets and develop the fact base underpinning strategic options
- Support live transactions end to end, covering target screening, diligence coordination, business case development and integration planning input
- Prepare Executive Committee and Board materials alongside the Chief of Staff, frequently to short timelines
- Develop AI-enabled tooling and automation; agents, structured prompt workflows and scripts that convert filings and documents into usable data, and apply AI to accelerate modelling and presentation work while maintaining full auditability
You have:
- Approximately 2 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development
- Degree in finance, industrial engineering and management, economics or a comparable quantitative discipline
- Strong financial modelling capability: able to build a valuation model from first principles, structure it for third-party review and substantiate each assumption
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to structure a clear argument and convey it concisely to a senior audience
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools, evidenced by tooling or workflows you have built, together with sound judgement on the limitations of model output
- Comfort with ambiguity and with senior stakeholders, including the ability to scope an open-ended question independently and return with a considered view
- Fluent English; Finnish is an advantage but not a requirement
Nice to have:
- Exposure to telecommunications, networks or technology-sector transactions
- Experience preparing Board or Executive Committee materials
- Working knowledge of Python or SQL sufficient to automate recurring analytical tasks
