Job Description

Category Manager

Holachef.com, a Mumbai based restaurant in cloud, offers better eating options with convenience. It connects some of the

best chefs in the city with foodies and food enthusiasts through an online ordering service.

Holachef is looking for a talented, self-driven and experienced Category Manager to lead multiple categories. It is a pivotal role

that will contribute to the evolution and success of one of the fastest growing businesses in the food tech sector. If you are

inspired by a new challenge, the thought of contributing to Holachef’s growth in a significant way, and leading a team to do it,

this is the position for you.

Responsibilities:  Act as the ‘business owner’ for his or her categories, possessing a complete understanding of

internal and external variables that impact our business (this entails owning , monitoring,

understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic

projects and promotions to achieve business objectives)  Have a fair understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and

continually monitor competitor/industry developments

 Maximize Holachef’s long-term business profitability

 Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use

that knowledge to deliver site features that provide Holachef customers with an unparalleled

shopping experience

 Manage chef relationships - manage chef partner contracts, Chef Menus, Food Products QC,

Scale Production possibilities, negotiate and secure food pricing, Recipe Licensing.  Create business plans for new opportunities, develop and execute project plans for the launch

of new features and food products, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies

 Coordinate cross-functional teams, team building and communicate with internal and external

parties, while meeting tight deadlines

 Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and

profitability targets

 Ensuring supply of food from right channel partners at the right place, right price and at the

right time.  Assist in making agreements and penalty clauses.  Hiring

Requirements:  2 – 3 years of relevant Category Management experience.  Technical/Engineering background a must!  Good interpersonal skills and impeccable written and oral communication skills

 Good business judgement, prioritization, focus and ability to multi-task and work in a highly

charged environment  Intelligent and self-motivated; should be willing to work hard to achieve and exceed targets

 Willing to commute and visit Chefs whenever required

 Comfortable with working for long and unpredictable hours

 Innovative, enthusiastic and a quick thinker\  Exceptional Negotiation Skills

 Good Judge of People

Technical/Engineering background is must
