About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:

This is a hybrid role working out of our Laval Buying Office 2 days / week, plus additional days on an as-needed basis.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Execute administrative support for category planning activities for Ladieswear, including assortment preparation, category reviews, and buying calendar administration, to support effective category plans.

  • Execute promotional and merchandising administration, including go-to-market coordination, proofing, promotional entry, and supporting category marketing initiatives.

  • Execute category administration by preparing product documentation and sharing product information with cross-functional partners (Global Sourcing, Planning. Business Managers) to support effective execution of category plans.

  • Prepare vendor information and documentation to enable accurate product setup and package requirements.

  • Coordinate product sample management and product approval processes to support new or updated product launch timelines.

  • Complete sales forecasts and maintain category and competitive market data to support category planning and business reporting.

  • Coordinate the release and completion of package and return sheets to ensure required store information is received accurately and on time.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management is an asset, or a College diploma or certificate, or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years related retail buying experience

  • Ability to problem solve and make adjustment on simple issues

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Understanding of retail mathematics related to sales, profitability/ inventory

  • Great communicator, verbally and in writing

  • Time management, organization and prioritization skills required

  • Love for product and passion for the Giant Tiger Customer

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products

  • Working knowledge of ChatGPT (AI tools), AS400 are assets

Salary

$51,600.00 - $77,500.00
