Human Service Agency is unique to South Dakota as we are the only Community Support Provider and Mental Health Counseling Center located within one agency. We are divided into two divisions: Behavioral Health, which administers counseling and other mental health services, and New Horizons, which directs programs and services for the developmentally disabled. Our New Horizons staff makes it their mission to improve the life experiences of the developmentally disabled.
The Case Manager is responsible to guide and provide individualized supports to people. This position is responsible to assist each person supported to achieve personal outcomes that reflect their dreams, hopes, and desires.
Physical Requirements Include:
- Work extended periods of time at a computer monitor.
- Occasionally, you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds during a medical emergency and/or behavior support.
- Job requires bending, stooping, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling, and driving a vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
- Bachelors degree in behavioral science is preferred, or some combination of education and experience in Human Services, Social Services, or Health Care.
- Two years experience working with people that have intellectual developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of computers.
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
