LOCATION                  On Site Only – Jackson Rd. Sacramento, CA

SCHEDULE                 Monday- Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm


About the Position…

The Case Manager Supervisor is a highly organized, empathetic, compassionate, and solution-focused professional who provides direct supervision and leadership to the Case Management team while also maintaining a small caseload.  The Case Manager Supervisor works under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health to provide supervision to the case management team. In this position you will be responsible for supporting Case Managers (CMs) in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based services to clients and families.


The Case Manager Supervisor functions as both a supervisor and direct service provider. They are responsible for ensuring fidelity to program expectations, maintaining documentation standards, supporting staff development, and promoting positive outcomes for clients. This position plays a critical role in strengthening team performance, accountability, and service delivery.


You’ll be responsible for…

Leadership & Supervision

  • Providing direct supervision to assigned Case Managers, including weekly 1:1 meetings.
  • Facilitating regular team meetings and case consultations.
  • Supporting staff with complex cases, crisis intervention strategies, and conflict mediation.
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development guidance.
  • Monitoring staff performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensuring adherence to program milestones, policies, and documentation standards.
  • Promoting a collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed team culture.
  • Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training of new Case Managers as assigned.

Administrative & Quality Assurance

  • Conducting regular audits of client binders, case files, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Ensuring timely completion of required documentation, reports, and exit paperwork.
  • Tracking caseload metrics and program compliance requirements.
  • Communicating program updates, policy changes, and procedural expectations to staff.
  • Maintaining close communication with management regarding program needs and team performance.
  • Assisting with reporting requirements and administrative tasks as assigned.

Direct Service

  • Conducting thorough assessments of client and family needs and strengths.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualized service plans.
  • Working collaboratively with clients and community resources to meet identified goals.
  • Providing case management services including behavior management techniques.
  • Facilitating psychoeducation/life skills classes and groups as needed.
  • Providing crisis intervention, resources, and referrals during on-duty assignments.
  • Completing treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, monthly reports, and other required paperwork in a timely manner

You must have...

  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience with supervising or leading a team or associate degree plus 2 years of experience working with individuals or families with complex needs.
  • Fluency in English language (spoken and written)
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, or mentorship experience.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and collaboratively.
  • Experience working effectively with outside agencies and community partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical requirements for performing the essential functions of this position require the employee to be able to:

  • Standing/walking approximately 20% and sitting 80% of the time
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to hear and respond to simple and sometimes critical messages exchanged in noisy/high traffic areas.
