CAS Senior Accountant

At Simon Lever, the Client Accounting Services (CAS) Senior Accountant delivers exceptional client service, plans and executes CAS client engagements, and provides internal support to client engagement teams for CAS related items. CAS Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain loyal customer relationships to understand their business to support well in CAS role

• Provide financial services to clients such as bookkeeping, month-end close, financial reporting and advisory services to meet their financial needs in a timely manner

• Provide accounting related client services independently, including accounts payable, accounts receivables, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting

• Assess information, problem-solve, and exhibit strong communication with clients and team members

• Provide excellent client service to support general accounting and software questions and take on more complex accounting work

• Perform self-review to ensure a consistent and accurate work product

• Collaborate with our team and clients to support needed work

• Escalate more complex financial needs to lead advisor and/or CAS Lead, as appropriate

CAS Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of public and/or private accounting experience

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related preferred, or equivalent experience

• QuickBooks Online experience preferred; ERP software a plus

• Strong working knowledge of accrual accounting and internal controls required

• Maintain and expand knowledge base of accounting principles and practices

• Must be detail-oriented and adaptable to learn new technology and AI software, as needed

• Regular local travel based on client and/or firm needs

• 40-45+ hours/week average, with heavier hours needed during periods of high volume
