Job Summary & Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES:
- Member of a five-man exercise USAF Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC), actively participate in scenario development processes to ensure appropriate air power integration.
- Monitor conduct of CAS missions and write analyses of those missions.
- Responsible for multiservice air integration into JRTC scenarios.
- Participates in rotational planning meetings in order to assist Operations Group integrate CAS in JRTC rotations.
- Responsible for replicating the functions of a CAOC, including the production of ATOs, ACOs, and SPINS and processing pre-planned CAS requests.
- Air Intelligence cell produces DISUMs, INTREPs, ELINTREPS, and enemy Order of Battle daily updates as necessary and distributes them to exercise players.
- Provides intelligence unit support to participating airlift and CAS platforms.
- Participates in rotational planning meetings, conducts briefings as required and compiles After Action Review (AAR) inputs to Task Forces on USAF/CAS effects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
- Experience in preparation/executing/debriefing military exercise/training (such as JRTC rotations) and responsibilities.
- Intelligence operations or aircrew experience in Close Air Support.
Desired:
- Experience in numbered Air Force or higher headquarters.
- Experience working in an Air Operations Center or equivalent JRTC experience.
- Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of Air Command and Staff College or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
