RRBB Accountants + Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. This role will require an adaptive and agile hands-on professional capable of ensuring efficient financial reporting, advisory, and compliance processes in a fast-paced, client-focused, and rapidly growing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, experience managing multiple client relationships, and the ability to support both public and private company reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements and reporting deliverables for public and private company clients, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy and registration statements), management reports, board presentations, investor materials, and other external reporting requirements.
Manage the preparation, review, and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting and reporting standards.
Coordinate annual audits, quarterly reviews, and other engagements with external auditors, legal counsel, and third-party advisors.
Oversee tie-outs, supporting schedules, and disclosure documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy across all reporting deliverables.
Collaborate with client personnel and cross-functional stakeholders, including finance, accounting, HR, legal, investor relations, and external service providers, to gather and validate reporting information.
Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance, accounting standards, and disclosure requirements, providing recommendations on complex or non-routine transactions.
Support clients with month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and general accounting functions as needed.
Lead reporting process improvements, standardization initiatives, and automation efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reporting quality.
Maintain strong internal controls and support compliance with applicable accounting, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying risks, providing strategic insights, and recommending practical accounting and reporting solutions.
Supervise, mentor, and develop team members through coaching, training, performance feedback, and career development support.
Qualifications
Education and Certification Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree in Accounting a plus
CPA required
Experience Required
8-10 years of relevant professional experience in public accounting and/or industry experience, with client-facing experience preferred
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and SEC reporting requirements
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements for both private and public companies
Experience managing multiple client engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Financial services industry experience a plus
Experience with financial reporting, accounting systems, and business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus
Experience with financial reporting and disclosure management platforms a plus
