Sales Support Specialist Senior

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.  This position will be based on Lake Mary- FL, Tampa-FL and Miami-FL.

Schedule: This position will work an 8-hour from shift 8:00 am - 5:30 pm (ET) Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be necessary based on company needs.

The Sales Support Specialist Senior responsible for coordinating and supporting the operations of the sales department while serving as resource for more complex sales support activities.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Completes complex administrative duties for efficient operations.
  • Coordinates and resolves escalated patient benefit investigations and notifies physician offices of outcomes.
  • Triages complex prescriptions to in-network pharmacies in the event they are unable to be filled through internal channels.
  • Assists physician offices with complex prior authorization submissions and follows up with health plans and/or physician offices to obtain authorization.
  • Coordinates with mandated in-network pharmacies to obtain order status and resolve issues.
  • Ensures all brand drug specific program steps are completed and documented.
  • Supports all activities in the delivery of medications, including resolving complex documentation issues and communicating with physician offices and internal business partners.
  • Maintains client relationship management (CRM), electronic medical records (EMR), and other required documentation while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Answers and routes phone calls for sales staff and serves as a resource for operational questions.
  • Assists with training and mentoring new associates and identifies opportunities for process improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent and a minimum of 3 years administrative experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • A minimum of 4 years specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
