In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. As a buyer, help power a stronger supply chain:
- Address all aspects of category management, including supplier management, supplier identification and selection, support category business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, business units, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory and services in a cost effective and timely manner
- Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
- Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major categories
- Monitor the cost, schedule and scope of assigned contracts to negotiate the highest quality at best value
- Develop new supply sources where suppliers are no longer competitive
- Recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing
- Interact closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement processes and supplier management assessment, pricing, and product availability
