Join our Cards Fraud and Scams team and use data, machine learning and generative AI to help protect customers from evolving threats.

As an Advanced Analytics Analyst, you’ll uncover fraud patterns, deliver actionable insights and develop solutions that improve fraud detection, operational efficiency and customer outcomes. You’ll combine hands-on technical work with a strong understanding of business needs, helping turn new ideas into practical tools for our fraud teams.

Our Cards Fraud and Scams team is a dynamic and inclusive group of fraud experts working together to detect, prevent and respond to fraud and scams. We use data-driven insights, cloud technologies and advanced AI tools to help keep our customers and communities safe.

You will:

  • Analyse data to identify fraud trends, patterns and emerging risks.

  • Develop and refine analytical, machine-learning and AI solutions.

  • Enhance Cards Fraud Copilot tools and AI agents that support operational teams.

  • Partner with fraud operations to identify automation and optimisation opportunities.

  • Translate business problems into clear analytical approaches and measurable outcomes.

  • Maintain reusable code and documentation using version-control practices.

  • Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

You’ll bring curiosity, sound analytical thinking and a growth mindset. You’ll be comfortable learning new technologies and developing your knowledge of fraud and scams while contributing practical ideas that solve real business problems.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in data analytics, data science or a related field.

  • Skills in Python or R, together with SQL.

  • Experience using GitHub or a similar version-control platform.

  • Exposure to machine learning, generative AI or AI-assisted development tools.

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Google Cloud or Databricks.

  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
