CAPEX Project Manager, Global Engineering

As the Project Delivery Manager for key growth investment projects at Lonza, this engineering leader will ensure successful project completion – on time, within budget, and in accordance to the required quality standards.

What you'll do:

• Lead project planning and execution across engineering, design, construction, CQV phases.

• Oversee budgets, resources, and procurement of equipment and materials.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, legal, and regulatory standards.

• Manage multi-functional project teams and vendor coordination.

• Track progress, mitigate risks, and resolve project issues.

• Report project status and updates to partners and senior leadership.

• Build and maintain strong vendor and contractor relationships.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related scientific field, with solid grasp of CDMO business operations.

• 5–7+ years of engineering/project management in chemical, API, or pharma industries.

• Skilled in project budgeting, scheduling, and results delivery.

• Broad technical expertise in API plant engineering (utilities, process, automation).

• Experience with facility design and modern CQV methodologies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio; strong cGMP knowledge.

• Strong communicator in English, with leadership and team development skills.
