Job Description
PurposeTo stabilize DC coaching delivery where agreed, strengthen Business Manager (BM) capability, and support adviser productivity during a period of Development Coach (DC) capacity constraints.
Key Focus Areas
1. Coaching Continuity
Step in to deliver targeted coaching to Academy Advisers where DC capacity gaps exist
Prioritize early-tenure advisers (months 1–12) to protect productivity and retention
Reinforce core disciplines: activity management, client engagement, and execution habits
2. BM Enablement (Non-Line Support)
Enable identified BMs to manage and develop their Academy Advisers more effectively
Provide practical coaching frameworks, guidance, and in-field support
Strengthen BM capability in driving performance, accountability, and consistency
3. In-Field Application & Embedding
Work alongside identified BMs and advisers to embed learning into daily practice
Bridge the gap between formal training and real-world execution
Identify and address breakdowns in activity, behaviour, and performance early
4. Targeted Intervention & Feedback
Identify common performance gaps across adviser cohorts and identified BM teams
Provide structured feedback and insights to the Head of Academy and APLs
Support continuous improvement of coaching focus areas and interventions
Operating Principles
Works in partnership with APLs, BMs and DCs (no line management accountability)
Focused on enablement, not oversight
Prioritizes practical application over theory
Anchored in driving early productivity and sustainable habits
Success Measures (6 Months)
Coaching continuity maintained in DC gap areas
Improved BM effectiveness in managing Academy Advisers
Increased adviser activity levels and early productivity indicators
Positive feedback to HoA from BMs and APLs on practical value and support
