Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
  • Lead and support R&D projects, including investigating and trialing new technologies and recommending improvements.
  • Drive product and process development initiatives, particularly in adhesive and sealer applications, while incorporating ideas from production.
  • Organize and collaborate with technical experts to conduct trials, implement solutions, and strengthen operational capabilities.
  • Develop, review, and improve systems and controls, including linking failures to FMEAs, Control Plans, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor performance through audits, documentation, and ongoing evaluation of controls, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality (QS9000), maintenance (preventive/predictive), and safety standards while supporting additional duties as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
  • Associate degree in technical discipline AND six months to one year experience/training;
  • OR a Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card AND six months to one year experience/training;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • OR a minimum of 5 years in a technical position.

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:
  • Past or present experience working with vision-based systems.
  • High level experience with 3D vision systems or initial integration of vision-based systems.
  • Robust understanding of robotics and PLC programming.
  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis is desired.
  • Strong organizational, communications and problem-solving skills required. Skilled in using PC and complex software including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
