Luther Village, an independent senior living community located in Arlington Heights, is actively looking for an experienced and hospitality-focused Security ( Safety Officer) to join our team!
We are seeking a dedicated on-call Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol buildings and parking areas.
- Monitor areas for physical hazards.
- Respond to incidents and assist residents as needed.
- Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance, assess situations, and take appropriate action.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and provide support during investigations.
The shift is Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5 pm -1 am.
Skills
- Experience in a senior living community preferred.
- Proficient in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Background check required
- Must be able to work independently.

Requirements
