We’re looking for a Calf & Youngstock Specialist to join our team, supporting farmers to achieve the best possible outcomes for their livestock through practical advice, tailored solutions, and strong on-farm relationships.

About The Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday
Location: This is a field-based position, with time split between visiting customers and being present at Coylton Mill, working collaboratively with the team to support the local agricultural community.
In this role, you’ll work closely with customers, providing expert support across all aspects of calf and youngstock management.
Key responsibilities include:
•  Visiting customers to deliver practical, tailored advice on calf and youngstock management
•  Supporting best practice across colostrum management, nutrition, housing, hygiene, and ventilation
•  Advising on feeding programmes, including milk replacers, starter feeds, and transition diets
•  Helping farmers prevent and manage common challenges such as poor growth rates, scour, and pneumonia
•  Supporting on-farm trials to assess feeding and management approaches
•  Weighing calves, recording performance data, and working with customers to set and monitor KPIs
You’ll play a key role in helping our customers improve performance, animal health, and overall efficiency.

About You
We’re keen to hear from individuals who are passionate about the livestock industry and enjoy working directly with farmers.
•  Practical experience with calves and youngstock
•  A good understanding of dairy or livestock systems
•  Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships on farm
•  A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in improving farm performance
