The Role

Description
In conjunction with our Direct to Customer Strategy for Europe, we are looking to establish a Cadillac distributor network for BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles) products for selected countries across Europe.
This role will prioritize the distributor appointment and manage Cadillac BEV business through selected distributors, single contact point for distributors and liaison within GM Europe organization and GM North America for all distributors field of activities (Marketing, PR, finance, sales operations, customer satisfaction and aftersales).

  • Develop a distributor network for Cadillac BEV products including selection of the right partners, agree on the contractual commercial terms, and distributors' roles and responsibilities.
  • Deliver the yearly major key performance indicators (i.e. volume, channel mix, profit figures, customer satisfaction) in accordance with the budget approved by the leadership for the Cadillac BEV-Distributors business
  • Lead annual Business Planning process and establish logical and stakeholder-agree on volumes, sales channels, profitability, and customer satisfaction parameters.
  • Work in close collaboration with key internal business partners such as Product, Planning, Finance, Customer Experience, Marketing &PR, Aftersales, among others
  • Aligning cross-functional groups and driving to outcomes that enable distributors to exceed their yearly targets volume and customers satisfaction
  • Maximize net profit by model by effectively managing the financial conditions offered to distributors, specification and model mix, and support scheme.
  • Communicate with distributors to ensure that their current needs are addressed and to ascertain what future requirements may be needed


Requirments:

  • Possess business and strategic acumen with ability to coordinate requirements with cross-functional teams
  • Broad understanding of European countries/markets, competitive OEMs and specific segmentation, and customers for electric vehicles.
  • Experience in building and managing retail distribution networks, developing markets for new BEV products
  • Ability to effectively communicate and translate business needs into requirements towards external partners and within the organization.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Can synthesize complex or diverse information, work with different functions in order to drive results, adaptable to dynamic situations.
  • Possesses high energy and resilience. Drawn to and skilled at solving problems. A leader with the thinking dexterity to anticipate business opportunities and to adapt the business to pursue accordingly.
  • Strong and consistent personal ethics and a high sense of integrity.
  • Ability to make quick decisions with incomplete or ambiguous data. Able to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Ability to make/recognize effective trade-off decisions and can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups, can win concessions without damaging relationships.
  • Proven negotiations skills and result oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Marketing or equivalent - required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent - an advantage
  • 10+ years' experience in sales, retail network development and marketing field including launch new models, managing dealer networks or large European key accounts, excellent knowledge of the European market and customers' insides.
  • HQ experience in a large OEM that overseen a European footprint
  • Possesses high energy and resilience. Drawn to and skilled at solving complex problems. A person with thinking dexterity to anticipate business opportunities and to adapt the business to pursue accordingly
  • Able to work autonomous and dealing with ambiguity
  • Able to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis and data
  • Team player and not afraid to take lead
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written)
  • German and /or any other European languages - an advantage
