The ability to deeply understand technical architecture, define engineering behind features, and translate high-level customer functional requirements into technical for development is a crucial skill. In addition, the ability to describe the impact of technical requirements on customers, non-technical sales, and support resources is a must.

This position will be responsible for filling the agile product owner role for the CAD product. In this role, the product owner champions the needs of the user, customer, and other stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure that what is delivered meets the goals, objectives, and desired outcomes of the project. • Develop strong relationships with UI/UX teams and work in close partnership with research and design colleagues.

  • Actively involved in initiative and epic refinement as an integral member of the Product Management team.

  • Responsible for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog, including user stories, defects, and research spikes.

  • Review and prioritize the backlog as part of the preparatory work for release and sprint planning, including coordination of dependencies with other POs.

  • Contribute to the roadmap.

  • Involved in release planning, reviewing vision, and content presentations to assigned engineering team(s).

  • Collaborate with the team to detail user stories with acceptance criteria.

  • Maintain the proper flow of features, user stories, and acceptance criteria in the backlog.

  • Agree on accepted story completion, including validating that the story meets acceptance criteria and that it complies with the Definition of Done (DoD).

  • Understand the scope of needed research spikes and collaborate with Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological infrastructures.

  • Collaborate with the team and any other stakeholders in the team demo.

  • Lead and participate in the appropriate agile ceremonies.

  • Integrate generative and agentic AI utilities directly into the product lifecycle to accelerate the documentation of complex system requirements and user flows.

  • Leverage advanced AI workflows to draft highly granular user stories and comprehensive acceptance criteria, ensuring standard technical clarity across teams.

  • Utilize AI to automate repetitive administrative SDLC tasks, including initial release notes drafting, alignment summaries, and backlog template generation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, product ownership, product planning, product management, or engineering

  • Strong technical background—you don’t need to code, but you can diagram an architecture, spot integration risks, and talk through implementation choices with developers.

  • Deep technical knowledge in software development methodologies, with a focus on leveraging AI to accelerate and improve the SDLC

  • Deep understanding of on-premise and/or cloud-based enterprise software.

  • Exceptional communicator—especially in writing. You take pride in crafting user stories that are crisp, testable, and aligned to business goals.

  • Able to translate complex ideas into language that’s useful to both engineers and

  • stakeholders—whether technical docs, acceptance criteria, or internal presentations.

  • Experience in Public Safety or high-availability domains is a strong plus.
