C / Python Engineer (Remote)

Project Overview:

We are seeking a skilled C engineer with Python experience to assist in translating a Python library into C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in image processing using OpenCV, and be proficient in working with vectors, matrix transformations, and cross-platform integration. This project-based contract requires collaboration with our device software and firmware team, so effective communication, the ability to work within distributed and diverse teams, and a self-driven attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate and optimize a Python library into C.

• Implement image processing techniques using OpenCV, including vector manipulation and matrix transformations.

• Develop and maintain code across various platforms: ARM Embedded Linux, Android (JNI/JNA), iOS, macOS, and Windows.

• Collaborate closely with the device software and firmware team to ensure seamless integration.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python and C.
• Extensive experience with image processing using Python OpenCV.
• Skilled in vector manipulation and matrix transformations.
• Proven experience in cross-platform development for ARM Embedded Linux, Android (JNI/JNA), iOS, macOS, and Windows.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
• Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Mediapipe.
