This role is for an Application Engineer working on C-HIL (Controller Hardware-in-the-Loop) solutions. You will support customers in areas such as e-mobility, power electronics, and power grids. The role starts with engineering support and gradually expands to demos, testing, and business support based on your skills. This is a core position in a growing Japan team, with close collaboration with overseas engineers.
- Support customers in implementing and maintaining C-HIL solutions
- Provide engineering support including test specification creation and automation
- Develop and maintain C-HIL demos for:
- Motor drives
- On-board chargers
- Fast chargers
- Battery management systems
- Create and demonstrate C-HIL test setups for power electronics and e-mobility applications
- Propose software and hardware improvements based on customer feedback
- Create technical documents, technical notes, and white papers
- Support pilot programs with new customers and new solutions
- Work with business development teams on sales and marketing support materials
- Hands-on training provided after joining
- Daily collaboration with overseas teams

Required Qualifications:
- Educational background in Electrical, Electronic, Physics, Mechanical, or Information-related fields
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in power electronics, e-mobility, or related industries
- Basic programming skills in Python or C++ (other languages acceptable)
- Experience with SILS or HILS testing
- Comfortable reading English manuals and explaining technical solutions
- Native-level Japanese
- Class 1 ordinary driver’s license
- Standard hours: 9:00 – 18:00
- Flex time core hours: 11:00 – 15:00
- Break time: 60 minutes
- Average overtime: around 20 hours per month
