Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide on-site C-17 company representation and technical support to the team in Memphis Air National Guard Base in Memphis, Tennessee in conjunction with the C-17 Globemaster Integrated Sustainment Partnership (G3) contract.
The FSR will provide both on-site and remote technical support and act as Boeing's local representative, working directly with customer personnel and demonstrating adaptability to diverse cultural environments. Candidates should have experience in flexible, fast-paced settings that require prompt responses to ad-hoc customer requests. Strong technical and interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to prioritize and manage workload independently with minimal supervision are essential. The role also requires flexibility to work long hours (including evenings and weekends), demonstrated leadership and teamwork in diverse groups, and proficiency with digital tools to host online meetings across time zones.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short-notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer.
  • Sustain a high level of proficiency in the maintenance and operation of company products by investigating technical problems and determining root causes.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understand customer expectations, assist customer in interpreting and using support data and documents, and provide technical on-the-job training.
  • Act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical and operational issues.
  • Work unsupervised for extended periods of time in a wide variety of cultural/economic environments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Minimum 3 years' of experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17A aircraft
  • Minimum 3 years' knowledge/understanding of mechanical, environmental, avionics and flight control systems, and electrical/electronic systems
  • Must be able to function in a demanding on-call, around the clock operational environment
  • Willing to work any shift
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Prefer candidates with proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17 aircraft mechanical, electrical/electronic, environmental, and avionics systems
  • Prefer previous military experience or extensive familiarity with military operations and written maintenance procedures
  • Experience with C-17 field or depot is preferred
  • Production Superintendent Experience is desired
  • Extensive experience using maintenance data collection and analysis (G081) is desired
  • Extensive knowledge of C-17 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) is desired
