You will execute breakthrough purchasing and sourcing technologies into vehicles and experiences that people love!What You'll DoResponsible and actively participating in development of commodity strategy, sourcing, negotiations, global, regional material budget execution, and connect with the top tier suppliers and partners.Responsible for purchase of a specific portion of productive materials specific to raw materials.Work is a sophisticated nature in involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and high level of independent judgement.Partner with Purchasing and Engineering to represent raw material purchasing and communicate program requirements overviewThis job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate

Your Skills Abilities (Required Qualifications):2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product developmentDeveloping Contracts/Agreements - 1 to 4 yearsProject Execution - 1 to 4 yearsExperience leading commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performanceProven competence in negotiation skillsProfessional interpersonal verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of analytical ability where problems can be somewhat sophisticatedDeveloped organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, balance multipole project simultaneously, and meet deadlinesProficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPointAbility to work globally, independently, and self-directedAbility to trave at least 5% of timeWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related areasExperience with steel and stamping commoditiesSupplier purchasing processesAutomotive proven experienceKnowledge of procurement softwareKnowledge of materials managementCapable of interpreting market dataAble to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documentsValidated knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processesGM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
