About the Role

Our client is an established international technology company developing advanced electronic solutions for connected, industrial, and high-reliability applications.

We are looking for an experienced Business Unit Director to take full ownership of a specialised technology portfolio and lead its next stage of growth. This is a highly influential role combining P&L ownership, product strategy, market expansion, investment planning, and cross-functional leadership.

You will shape the long-term business direction, guide product and commercial priorities, strengthen relationships with strategic customers and partners, and align engineering, product, operations, and sales teams around ambitious growth objectives. The position offers direct visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to build sustainable value in a technically advanced international environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of the business unit’s revenue, profitability, budget, and performance.
  • Define and execute the long-term business, market, and product strategy.
  • Identify new customer segments, partnerships, and international growth opportunities.
  • Guide product portfolio priorities based on market demand and technology trends.
  • Oversee investment planning and the allocation of development resources.
  • Build executive-level relationships with strategic customers and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead business development initiatives and complex commercial partnerships.
  • Align engineering, product, operations, and sales teams around shared objectives.
  • Establish clear performance indicators and drive execution against targets.
  • Build a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of senior experience in high-tech, electronics, wireless, connected products, or a related technical industry.
  • Experience leading a business unit, product organisation, or substantial commercial portfolio.
  • Proven ownership of P&L, budgeting, investment planning, and profitable growth.
  • Demonstrated success in market expansion, product strategy, or strategic business development.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong understanding of technology product lifecycles and complex B2B markets.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Availability to work fully on-site in Switzerland.

Skills Required
