ZS's Discovery venture is focused on delivering cutting edge solutions to research groups that will help clients accelerate drug discovery, improve R&D productivity, create breakthrough scientific discoveries, develop institutional scientific knowledge, transform research operating models and culture, and provide accelerated insights.
RESEARCH INFORMATICS TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Directly engage with multi-disciplinary client teams consisting of scientists, technologists, data management teams, and data scientists
- Sell and deliver engagements for developing technology strategy, roadmap, and implementation of modern data & analytics solutions for Research teams
- Partner and collaborate closely with ZS experts across Technology and Discovery practice teams to sell and deliver engagements, and maximize the impact we create for clients
- Leverage the knowledge and expertise of data, systems, and processes used in Research to aid analyses, recommendations and solutions for clients
- Establish and maintain ongoing client relationships with key business decision makers to drive new business development
- Lead technical feasibility analysis, select the technologies that provide the best solution and identify the products available that will best fit the solution proposed;
- Coach a cross-functional project team on the technology perspective and data domain to inform key project decisions;
- Stay abreast of latest technology and scientific trends in the areas of Research Informatics to shape the thinking of clients as well as develop ZS POVs and offerings;
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from a top university; MBA is desirable;
- Minimum 7-10 years of hands on IT services or consulting work experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Majority work experience in relevant Research Informatics data/workflow systems such as Compound or reagent inventory, Biological sample bank, High Efficiency screening / assay data analysis system, In-vivo study management, Bio-analytical LIMS, Digital pathology solutions, etc.
- Leadership role in at least 1-2 end to end transformations for Research teams
- Superior verbal and written communication, organization, analytic, planning and leadership skills.
- Experience handling GxP data and system validation is a plus.
Additional Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the design process, project management principles, client relationship management, and pre-sales activities;
- Thorough understanding of client business concerns to oversee translation into technical inputs;
- Proven relationship-building and maintaining skills with clients and across functional areas;
- Working knowledge of ontologies, knowledge graphs, and their applications for Research analytics is a big plus
