MSD is looking for a Business Systems Technical Support Specialist to join our team!

 

MSD is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Systems Technical Support Specialist to join our growing IT team. In this role, you'll provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, networks, and business applications while partnering with users across the organization to solve problems and improve technology adoption. You'll also play an active role in software implementations, process improvement initiatives, and IT projects that directly impact the business.

 

This is more than a traditional helpdesk position. You'll work closely with the CIO, gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, system implementations, and business process improvement. The Business Systems Technical Support Specialist provides first-line technical support while helping improve business systems, streamline processes, and support technology initiatives across the organization.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IT support experience in a helpdesk, desktop support, or MSP environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and business applications
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, ticketing systems, and remote support tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation
  • Self-motivated with a desire to grow into project coordination, software implementation, and process improvement
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Unencumbered U.S. Driver's License
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required

 

Job Duties:

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, networking, and business applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, software, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Support software implementations through testing, user training, go-live support, and change management activities.
  • Create and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, SOPs, and user guides to improve support efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and end users to resolve technical issues and improve business processes.
  • Assist with endpoint security, asset management, and ongoing IT initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce recurring issues, and enhance the overall user experience.
