Reporting to Manager, IT, the Business Systems & Data Analyst is a cross-functional role responsible for translating business needs into effective system, data, reporting, and process solutions, getting it implemented to optimize and streamline Q&C’s business processes. This is a full-time temporary maternity leave coverage role for a period of 12 to 18 months and 5-days week on-site position.


RequirementsDuties and Responsibilities

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this role. The time spent on these areas will vary as business needs require. All activities must be recorded in company billing system. Q&C maintains the right to modify job duties and responsibilities at its discretion.


  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand current-state processes, pain points, risks, and improvement opportunities;
  • Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, user stories, workflows, process maps, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria;
  • Configure, test, validate, and support business application changes within approved governance processes;
  • Support ERP lifecycle activities including requirements definition, fit-gap analysis, configuration, user acceptance testing and training;
  • Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to resolve application issues and deliver functional enhancements;
  • Develop or coordinate dashboards, operational reports, KPIs, operational datasets and analytical views using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, or equivalent platforms;
  • Coordinate and support UAT with business users;
  • Assist with support of EUC and IT infrastructure, as requested;
  • Support cyber security activities, as requested;
  • Provide services as per corporate procedures and work instructions, where applicable;
  • Develop work aids that will be leveraged by Q&C staff to improve efficiency, effectiveness and data quality to provide required insights for decision making.

Education and Training

The following education and training are needed for the performance of the work with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience;
  • Proficiency in:
    • MS-O365 platform
    • PowerBI/SQL – Dev role
    • ERP functional support (preferred Acumatica)
    • SaaS architecture and support
  • Willing and capable of learning new applications and technologies with a particular emphasis as to how they might be leveraged within Q&C.

The following aspects are used to differentiate candidates (nice to have):

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Microsoft certification
  • DevOps certification
  • BABOK knowledge

Salary range: CAD 75,000 – 85,000 annually

Annual salary will be based on candidate’s experience, skill, knowledge, and qualifications relevant to the role.

Skills Required
