Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand current data flows, integration gaps, and reporting needs. Document pain points, desired outcomes, and use cases for unified data access and insights.
- Process Mapping & Gap Analysis: Analyze existing data architecture, workflows, and tools. Map current vs. future-state processes and highlight integration, governance, and reporting improvements.
- Microsoft Fabric Awareness: Basic understanding of Microsoft Fabric components like Dataflows, OneLake, Lakehouse, Pipelines, and Power BI. Ability to translate technical features into business value.
- Use Case & POC Definition: Define business use cases for proof-of-concepts (POCs), including metrics, data sources, and expected outcomes. Work with architects and engineers to evaluate outcomes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise between business units, data teams, and app owners to ensure alignment on data priorities, access models, and integration goals.
- Data Governance & Quality Support: Support definition of data ownership, access policies, and quality standards. Help track lineage and compliance requirements from a business perspective.
- Documentation & Communication: Prepare business requirement documents, user stories, process diagrams, and functional specs. Communicate updates, insights, and findings clearly to both business and tech teams.
- Agile & Delivery Support: Work within Agile frameworks—participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demos. Help prioritize features and enhancements based on business value.
