Job Description:
This is a hybrid role within our Treasury technology group that covers:
- Business analyst within our Treasury Analytics Group.
- Support for our FIS Quantum & TBSM applications within our Production Support Group.
The Treasury Analytics Group is responsible for measurement and management of market risk (interest rate and foreign exchange) for the Bank's retail portfolios. The team develops financial models and processes required for measuring, transfer pricing, hedging product profitability, and financial management reporting. The Treasury Analytics Group is embarking on a brand new initiative to build the next generation strategic platform for risk, valuations and analytics to meet the growing and future needs of the department. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies including Big Data and NoSQL databases (Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Spark and MongoDB) to allow the business to gain advanced insight into their portfolios and valuation metrics. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead business requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation efforts
- Assist technology team in Azure cloud solution implementation; write Spark SQL queries to analyze and transform data; provide feedback to User Interface team; testing and documentation
- Analyze solution requirements; understand project scope; determine project priorities; ensure efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; follow proper escalation paths
- Look for opportunities for process improvement and automation
The Production Support Group is primarily responsible for providing L1/L2 support for Treasury applications which include ALM, Risk Management, Data Management, and Trading systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide support for vendor hosted FIS Quantum application, covering stakeholders from Front Office, Operations and Finance.
- Provide support for Treasury Balance Sheet Management applications and batches
- Provide high quality application and user support to ensure IT systems availability, reliability, and performance that support business processes globally
- Manage the Incident through to completion. Engage various IT teams in resolving incidents efficiently and effectively.
- Perform effective troubleshooting, incident & problem management
- Deploy changes to the Production Environment follow the TD Bank's Change management process.
- Perform scheduled activities such as DR testing, user attestations, remediation of control audit, etc.
- Update knowledge-based articles on timely manner and conduct trainings across regions.
Working hours and coverage includes:
- Team onsite coverage is required 5 days a week.
- Adhoc after hours, weekend and Bank Holiday coverage
- Shift coverage typically between 7am – 7pm.
Job Requirements
Mandatory Skills:
- Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business stakeholders
- Experience in Linux, Oracle, MS SQL DB, ITRS, Autosys, Dynatrace, Splunk
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team in Agile environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure support teams will be an asset.
- Knowledge of automation and process improvement
- Strong understanding of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
- Knowledge of Scripting, SQL and/or experience in programming languages such as Java and Python
- Knowledge of IT project & development lifecycles (SDLC), agile methodology, and ITIL
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in FIS Quantum application
- Experience in financial services industry, specifically in Capital Markets and Treasury
- Experience with Big Data and NoSQL databases (Hadoop/HBase/Spark) and Spark SQL is a bonus
- Familiarity with other programming languages is a plus (e.g., Python)
- Practical experience of support both Physical, and VMware environments
- Understanding of financial markets and products.
- Experience in Banking Operations technologies such as liquidity and market risk
- Practical working experience in multi-tier applications support will be an asset to have.
