Job Details
As an Ecommerce Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in the end-to-end project lifecycle, from detailing Epics and User Stories to deployment and releases within an Agile environment. In this role, you will facilitate stand-up meetings, backlog grooming sessions, UI design discussions, and release planning. You will work closely with Business/Product Owners and developers, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders while focusing on the functional aspects of the ecommerce system and its B2B stores. Your responsibilities will include testing new functionalities and providing ongoing support to maintain a high-performing, customer-centric B2B online store.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Facilitation:
- Elicit requirements through discussions with business owners and product owners.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to understand Epics, break them down into User Stories, and guide them through the backlog grooming process.
UI Design Collaboration:
- Work with Designers to interpret Figma designs and create requirements for UI changes.
Technical Collaboration:
- Collaborate with technical teams (developers, system administrators) to explain and test features related to Ecommerce B2B stores.
Functional Configuration & Optimization:
- Possess deep knowledge of functional configuration of ecommerce platform settings, including:
- Product catalogs
- Pricing and promotions
- Order management
- B2B organizational hierarchy and checkout processes
- Punchout processes
- Integration with SAP SD
- Understand and test new features and enhancements implemented in monthly releases and hotfixes.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the ecommerce system.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, including bugs and enhancements for development teams.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute functional test plans and test cases.
- Conduct sanity testing, user story acceptance criteria tests, and execute regression test cases to ensure that implemented solutions meet business requirements.
- Identify and report defects, tracking their resolution.
Work Experience:
- Over 3 years of experience in Business Analysis and Functional Consulting
- Domain expertise: E-commerce, CRM, Retail, Warehouse, and Payments
- Strong understanding of:
- E-commerce platforms
- Order management systems
- Product catalog management
- UI/UX design principles
- Preferred: ISTQB certification
- Skilled in collaborating with technical teams (developers, system admins)
- Hands-on with:
- Sanity testing
- User story validation
- Regression testing
- Ensuring alignment with business requirements
- Experienced in writing and working with user stories
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)
