JoomPro is one of the key businesses of Joom, an international tech-centric group of e-commerce companies founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom Group also includes other businesses: Joom, a platform for global shopping; JoomPulse, a data platform that provides analytics and recommendations for marketplace sellers; and Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany. Joom Group has offices in Latvia, China, Portugal, Germany, and Brazil, with its headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal. We work as one international team, sharing knowledge and collaborating across countries, businesses, and products.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Strategy Manager to join our team and support the strategic planning as well as global expansion of our B2B cross-border marketplace, JoomPro, into new countries. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to assess the existing competencies and business model as well as macroeconomic, logistical, and regulatory factors across global markets in order to develop actionable strategies for market entry and growth of business.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research, analyzing macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes
- Evaluate international trade infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and logistical ecosystems for new markets
- Identify strategic opportunities and threats in global markets to guide market entry and expansion
- Develop tailored, data-driven market entry strategies
- Align internal business competencies and processes with external market requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute market-entry strategies
- Present comprehensive reports and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Stay informed on global economic trends and emerging opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in strategy analysis, strategy consulting, market research, or a related field
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics / Statistics, or a related discipline
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and deep understanding of business metrics
- Proven experience working with international markets, preferably in e-commerce or cross-border trade.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
Preferred
- Understanding of financial modelling
- Experience with top consulting firms (e.g., Big 3)
