Business Strategist

We are hiring a Technology-Focused Business Strategist to join the global business strategy team, working out of our Chicago office and reporting to the head of group strategy. This role focuses on integrating technological insights into our broader business strategies, working closely with the Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and other senior leaders to define and execute strategic priorities that drive growth and innovation.
Your Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with many levels of the technology organization to understand problem domains, collect insights, and implement technology strategies.
• Lead or support technical projects with significant business impact.
• Develop a deep understanding of technological trends and their implications for financial markets and trading.
• Work with local and global strategy teams to ensure alignment of technology-driven initiatives across regions.
• Present strategic recommendations and insights effectively to senior management and other stakeholders.

Your Skills and Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as a former consultant at a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience in a strategic role within the tech or finance industry
• Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Econometrics.
• Hands-on experience with technology-driven initiatives
• Proven experience as a project lead, capable of driving complex initiatives to successful outcomes
• Strong conceptual and structural thinking abilities, with experience translating technical challenges into strategic opportunities
• Flexibility to travel occasionally to support global strategy initiatives and collaborate with international teams
• Experience with ML/AI consulting is a plus

The Base Salary range for the role is included below. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
