About this role

Our growing Private Enterprise (Business Services) team is looking for experienced accountants to join the Perth office at Associate or Senior Associate level.

Business leaders face many challenges throughout the business lifecycle: from managing daily operations, tax and compliance, to navigating a competitive landscape and planning an exit strategy. Key responsibilities

  • Preparation of accounts, tax returns, BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns for a broad range of clients, from SMEs to large companies

  • Build and maintain strong relationships as part of an effective client service delivery team

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to wider firm initiatives across the business

Skills and experience

You will have an interest in taxation and in the ‘nuts and bolts’ of accounting, while bringing a caring, conscientious, and practical approach to your clients. You enjoy applying your analytical and critical thinking skills to problems in order to find innovative solutions that are tailored to each client’s unique situation.

Required

  • Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)

  • Have commenced, completed, or planning to commence a CA qualification

  • Significant professional experience (at least 18 months) in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to adapt your interpersonal style to suit different stakeholders and audiences

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment

Desirable

  • Experience in the use of Xero accounting software will be highly regarded
