Project Scope
We are seeking a Business Relationship Manager – AI Transformation to partner with clinical, operational, administrative, and technology leaders to identify, evaluate, and advance high-value AI opportunities within a healthcare organization. This role will translate business needs into actionable requirements and guide AI initiatives through evaluation, governance, implementation, adoption, and value realization.


Position Summary
The Business Relationship Manager – AI Transformation will serve as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams across the AI initiative lifecycle. This individual will build trusted relationships with leaders across the organization, facilitate the evaluation and prioritization of AI use cases, define requirements and success measures, coordinate governance and risk activities, and support adoption and outcome measurement post-implementation. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of healthcare IT, informatics, analytics, or transformation experience, a working knowledge of AI concepts and applications, and the ability to influence and advance initiatives without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with clinical, operational, administrative, and technology leaders to understand strategic priorities, analyze workflows, and uncover opportunities where AI may create measurable value.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and prioritization of AI opportunities based on expected business or clinical value, feasibility, risk, data availability, organizational readiness, and enterprise strategy alignment.
  • Translate business needs into clearly defined use cases, functional requirements, data requirements, success measures, governance considerations, and expected outcomes.
  • Serve as the liaison between stakeholders and technical delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Partner with architecture, technical, operational, procurement, security, privacy, and legal stakeholders to evaluate available solutions and contribute to build vs. buy recommendations.
  • Coordinate required governance reviews and documentation related to responsible AI, regulatory compliance, privacy, security, data use, model risk, and operational readiness.
  • Support implementation, organizational readiness, adoption, performance monitoring, and outcome measurement post-deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, expansion, remediation, or retirement based on utilization, performance, risk, and realized value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Informatics, Information Systems, Public Health, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, information technology, informatics, analytics, transformation, consulting, or a related environment.
  • Experience translating complex business or clinical needs into actionable requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of AI concepts, capabilities, limitations, and common business or healthcare applications.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional initiatives involving business, clinical, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, relationship management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and advance initiatives without direct authority.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Healthcare AI, analytics, automation, or digital transformation experience.
  • Experience with Epic or a comparable healthcare technology platform.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, AI governance, privacy, security, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with demand management, portfolio prioritization, product management, or innovation governance.
  • Expertise in one or more healthcare clinical, operational, financial, or administrative domains.
  • Relevant certification in business relationship management, project management, product management, change management, informatics, analytics, or AI governance.
