Business Process Re-Engineering Specialist [Senior Level]

Who we are looking for: 

We are currently seeking a Business Process Re-Engineering Specialist [Senior Level] for a full-time position supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in Fort Belvoir, VA. 

Duties of a Business Process Re-Engineering Specialist [Senior Level] may include: 

  • Provides facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process reengineering across all phases, identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices, and supervision of business process reengineers. 
  • Applies process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. 
  • Duties include activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
  • Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams. 
  • Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts. 
  • 4 years’ experience in business process re-engineering with demonstrated, increasing responsibilities within this field. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to create frequent business presentations. 
  • Persuasion skills are critical. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with business and technical personnel at all levels.

Minimum Experience : 

  • Commercially astute with sound decision making, strategic acumen, process improvement and analytical problem-solving capabilities to support Joint/Service Operating Concepts. 
  • 4+ years of prior experience in roles with business analysis, global planning, business strategy, capabilities development, and project management roles of increasing responsibility. 
  • Strategic projects involve evaluation, analyzes and process management, assessments, implications analysis, options management, issues management and other related management studies. 
  • Provide expertise and Joint Capability Identification and Development System (JCIDS). 
  • Provide expert advice, recommendations, and leadership to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Analyze processes to make improvements and prepare logistics reports for senior decision-makers. 
  • Shaping strategies, developing plans, analyzing data, and aligning goals to the Agency's objectives. 
  • Hosting meetings and working groups to coordinate internal and external requirements. 
  • Drafting exercise related orders, to include the initiating and execution directives, policies, analytical support plans, external experiments, and mission-related studies. 
  • Development of “plans to plan” and execution of plans, scheduling and tracking events and milestone completion, scheduling, and preparations for key internal and external events. 
  • 4+ years relevant experience; 8+ years relevant experience preferred. 
  • Experience in exercise planning and logistical support. 
  • Have prior experience with training event design, planning and execution 
  • Experience with strategic and operational decision making, geographic combatant command.

Required Skills:

  • Sensitivity Level: IT-I – Critical Sensitive
  • Clearance: Current DoD Active Top Secret
  • Ability to use Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to present briefings and coordinate problems and recommend solutions
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic level
  • Ability to brief/interactive with senior (GO/FLAG) level officer and senior civilians.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate plans between internal and external staff agencies to ensure a coherent effort. 

Education : Undergraduate degree required, and Graduate degree preferred. 

Location : Fort Belvoir, VA (On-site requirement : 3 times per week) 

Salary Range: There are various factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $145,000 - $150,000.
