🚀 Help Brands Win on Amazon - and Love Where You Work
📍 Role: Business Process Automation Specialist
📍 Location: San Diego, CA 92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers)
💰 Compensation Range: $120,000-$150,000 DOE

At Luminize, we help brands win, and as one of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the US, we're looking for top performers to grow with us.

We're looking for a systems-minded builder who thrives on turning chaos into clean, scalable automation. As our Business Process Automation Specialist, you'll own the automation layer that lets Luminize manage 80+ brands without linear headcount growth — designing, building, and maintaining the custom tools, integrations, and AI-powered workflows that connect our entire operation.

🎯 What You'll Own

Process Discovery & Design Partner with department leads to identify high-impact manual workflows and quantify the cost of the status quo - hours lost, errors made, delays and missed handoffs. You'll translate ambiguous business problems into scoped, deliverable solutions, push back when a process needs redesign before it can be automated, and evaluate best practices across teams to eliminate redundant work.

Automation Infrastructure Architect, build, and maintain custom tools across the Google ecosystem (Apps Script, Sheets, Docs, Forms) as our primary internal SME. Use Zapier, Make.com, and Asana to create automated handoffs between teams- for example, a completed Supply Chain task that triggers a Catalog notification with all required inputs pre-populated. Build integrations across Asana, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Slack, and Looker Studio to eliminate manual data entry and keep data in sync in real time. You'll also automate recurring end-to-end processes like client onboarding, reporting pipelines, and internal HR workflows - and error-proof inputs across the org with validation, guardrails, and exception handling.

AI Integration Identify where LLMs (Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) can replace manual analysis, summarization, categorization, or extraction work. Build production AI workflows for use cases like client feedback categorization, meeting transcript analysis, and document parsing - and stay ahead of the curve as new tooling emerges.

Adoption, Documentation & Governance Drive adoption of new systems through training, documentation, and hands-on end-user support. Write and maintain SOPs and runbooks so every workflow is fully transparent, easily supportable, and immediately transferable. Partner with IT and Business Systems on shared infrastructure, access controls, and tool governance.

✅ What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • 5+ years in business process improvement, automation, or systems integration; high-growth or multi-client environment preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Google Apps Script (JavaScript), advanced Google Sheets, and at least one no-code platform (Zapier or Make.com)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Asana, Looker Studio, HubSpot, and at least one LLM API or AI tool
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and webhooks, including authentication, pagination, and rate limiting
  • Ability to translate vague business problems into scoped, shippable solutions — without needing a fully written spec
  • Comfortable challenging stakeholders when a process should be redesigned rather than automated
  • Proven ability to ship high-impact MVPs iteratively rather than over-engineer from the start
  • Amazon Seller Central, SP-API, or e-commerce operations experience a plus

🏙️ You'll be based in Symphony Towers, one of San Diego's premier office spaces that offers:

  • Stunning views of the city and coastline
  • Free access to the building gym
  • Discounts at restaurants and cafes in the tower
  • Secure bike racks and 24/7 paid parking nearby
  • Walking distance to 100+ top bars, restaurants, and coffee shops

Our office is designed for comfort, productivity, and collaboration, featuring:

  • Ergonomic standing desks and high-quality workstations
  • A fully stocked snack bar, espresso machine, and cold drinks
  • A welcoming team lounge area and sunny workspaces
  • A clean, modern space where we can do our best work together

🎁 Benefits & Perks

Our people are our #1 priority. Our benefits include:

  • Multiple medical plan options through Anthem Blue Cross
  • Dental & vision insurance (including orthodontia and annual exams)
  • Pet benefit program with savings on vet care, products, and services
  • Paid vacation (accruing up to 120+ hours/year with rollover and cap)
  • Paid holidays annually
  • Coverage for spouses/domestic partners and dependents under 26
  • Benefits begin on the first of the month after your hire date
