Job Description

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned and pragmatic HR Business Partner to join our People team, embedded within our broader Operations Enabler function. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive shared priorities and cross-functional initiatives that support our evolving organisational needs.

You’ll thrive here if you’re someone who operates with confidence and autonomy, effortlessly navigating between strategic planning and hands-on execution. This role requires someone comfortable coaching senior leaders, managing complex people matters, and delivering meaningful outcomes in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

As part of a small, highly capable team, you’ll roll up your sleeves across the full HR spectrum. From case management and legislative updates to performance calibration, talent reviews, and data insights, you’ll bring both operational expertise and strategic vision. A practical mindset, strong delivery focus, and a genuine belief in philanthropy’s power to effect change are essential – we care deeply about our work and the difference we make!

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor across the employee lifecycle, empowering leaders to act with confidence and clarity.
  • Provide strategic HR and workforce planning aligned to business objectives.
  • Champion a high-performance culture through career development, performance management and talent initiatives.
  • Lead and support complex employee relations matters with sound judgement, grounded in employment legislation, policy and our Values.
  • Partner on organisational design, change management, and cultural transformation.
  • Support remuneration reviews and gender equity reporting, embedding fairness and transparency into every decision.

About You

You are a trusted HR practitioner with strong judgement, maturity and a track record of handling high-stakes people matters with both care and confidence. You’re comfortable working autonomously in complex, fast-evolving environments, and you bring clarity, empathy, and discretion to every interaction.

What you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management (or equivalent), and 8-10 years post graduate experience in HR, ideally within agile, matrixed environments.
  • Strong business acumen and a hands-on, delivery orientated approach.
  • Deep experience across the full employee lifecycle including performance and remuneration reviews, Korn Ferry job architecture, talent and succession planning, recruitment and workforce compliance.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS platforms — ideally Workday — leveraging systems to streamline processes and support data driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with strengths-based frameworks such as Gallup CliftonStrengths for leadership development, coaching, and team effectiveness.
  • In depth knowledge of employment legislation, policy development, and employee relations best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, balance competing priorities and build trust at all levels.
