About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will oversee and manage various projects from inception to completion. You are a versatile individual who will tackle complicated problems/projects by investigating and diagnosing problems, developing solutions, organizing execution plans, engaging key stakeholders, and delivering scalable solutions. You will ensure projects and processes are aligned with defined objectives and strategies of the department and company. You are a strong collaborator and communicator.
This role is an individual contributor on the Business Operations & Transformation team.
ButcherBox embraces a hybrid model that provides personal flexibility as well as in-person collaboration. The ideal candidate will find value in coming to our Watertown office twice per week for face-to-face strategy sessions, taking the occasional meeting on a walk around the river trails, and of course Taco Tuesday!
Responsibilities
•Collaborate with stakeholders to handle backlogs and new requests.
•Ensure the team is working on the highest priority tasks.
•Track and report on project progress, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
•Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
•Encourage collaboration and self-organization among team members.
•Support the development team in their quest for continuous improvement.
•Mentor and coach team members on Agile principles and best practices.
•Manage project timelines for multiple teams and initiatives.
•Coach the team members in self-management.
•Escalate blockers and dependencies to support continuous progress of the team.
•Schedule and facilitate all team meetings, retrospectives, and decision-making processes.
•Plan and organize demos and testing.
•Track project processes, deliverables, and financials.
•Participate in and lead committees and working groups to define and set goals related to process improvements across ButcherBox.
Requirements
•Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion.
•Experience in business operations, transformation initiatives, or similar strategic roles.
•Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello, Asana).
•Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex issues.
•Experience developing and executing scalable solutions.
•Ability to align projects and processes with departmental and company-wide strategies.
•Demonstrated success in prioritizing tasks and managing project backlogs.
•Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience tracking project progress and reporting on key deliverables.
•Familiarity with Agile principles and best practices.
•Self-motivated and proactive individual contributor.
•Comfortable working in a hybrid environment - ability to collaborate well virtually and in person
