Summary Generated by Built In

Sunday creates pocket-sized friends for the mass market. We turn idle moments into meaningful connections for millions of users worldwide.

Sunday focuses on the psychology of care, companionship, and empathy. We build accessible worlds where players don't just solve puzzles, they rescue friends. By combining mass-market accessibility with deep emotional hooks, we are defining the next era of digital entertainment.

The Position: What is a Business Operations at Sunday?

In this role, you will be the absolute engine of cross-divisional execution. You will collaborate daily with Product, Growth, Tech, Marketing, and Data teams to push critical business programs across the finish line. You will map milestones, clear operational bottlenecks, run rigorous status checks, and ensure our studio moves with high velocity without fracturing into silos. You are a true "Program Pilot", someone who thrives under pressure, takes absolute ownership of project delivery, and ensures every cross-functional team has exactly what they need to win.
The entrepreneurial “get things done fast” is the most important criteria for Sunday. We are not looking for a traditional corporate administrator, building processes with long term effects or a high-level strategist who only builds slide decks. We are looking for an exceptionally hungry, agile operator to own end-to-end program and project management across our entire studio, who is focused on results.

This role is on fixed term - 1 year contract with the possibility of extension.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own the Program & Project Lifecycle: Take immediate charge of tracking active cross-divisional programs, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and operational friction or project leakage is completely neutralized.

  • Enforce Cross-Functional Accountability: Act as the central node for project alignment. Conduct constant sprint and status check-ins with Game teams, UA managers, Data Scientists, and Developers. You are explicitly expected to have the difficult conversations required to resolve bottlenecks and challenge missing results.

  • Optimize Operational Handoffs: Standardize communication and workflows at critical project handoff points by ensuring all teams adhere strictly to formalized entry and exit criteria.

  • Drive Execution with an 80/20 ROI Focus: Evaluate project velocities against core business metrics (LTV, CPI, Spend, IAP, and absolute profit margin). Help teams maintain absolute focus on high-impact wins and flag low-value features drifting from our core roadmap.

  • Synthesize Leadership & Board Reporting: Transform complex project backlogs, program roadmaps, and cross-department timelines into crisp, data-backed status and blocker reports for senior executives and the board.

Who You Are (Requirements)
  • Agile Operator Mindset: You possess a profound generalist mindset. You are eager to master how multiple parts of our mobile entertainment value chain link together, translating program strategy directly into rapid execution.

  • Execution Grit: You operate with a lean, solution-driven mindset. You don't just manage by task lists; you manage by business outcomes. You own your time management and are accountable for delivery.

  • Transparent & Assertive Communicator: You practice direct, analytical, and respectful communication. You are completely unafraid to follow up cross-functionally for updates, expose alignment bottlenecks, or flag hidden project risks to leadership.

  • Project & Pipeline Specialist: You have exceptional logical tracking skills. You are highly proficient in using Jira, spreadsheets, and visual workflow tools to structure loose ideas into clean, scannable milestone roadmaps and program schedules.

  • Rapid Upskiller: You are an ambitious program professional looking to skip standard corporate ladders. You want to sit directly at the core of business operations, earning a masterclass in how a gaming studio scales by driving high-stakes commercial programs.

Fuel for the Adventure: What You Get at Sunday

  • Flexible Setup for Maximum Impact: We work in a hybrid setup with three core office days, plus flexibility where it matters.

  • Work Where It Feels Good: Our office has a 5th floor Alster lake view, strong coffee, top gear, and way too many snacks. But more than that – it’s a space designed for makers, thinkers, and game-changers to connect, collide, and build.

  • More Than Just a Job – Join the Crew: We don’t just work side by side. We share wins, tackle challenges, and have fun together. Team events, game nights, spontaneous pizza runs – they’re part of the ride. Work hard, play smart.
