As the Athlete Experience Coordinator for the Nike Sport Research Lab, you will be integral in establishing and building relationships with athletes. The role will focus on executing athlete acquisition, recruitment, engagement, and communication. Fostering athlete relationships allows our team to execute meaningful interactions with athletes and drive our business initiatives. This role will be relentlessly committed to impacting the overall athlete experience across all NSRL environments.
The ability to prioritize among multiple tasks is key to success in this fast-paced role. You will work on a team that supports and fuels athlete research and product innovation. Working closely with our research and services teams and in alignment with our athlete engagement strategy, you will contribute to the recruiting and managing of our athlete database. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be one of the foundations on which you will base your work.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, involving human performance research, customer service, or business management
- 2+ years experience in a research support or study coordination role, ideally in an academic, tech or healthcare setting
- 2+ years experience project management and organization
- 2+ years experience in consumer engagement and customer experience
- Experience with study recruitment and engagement, or other related logistical roles
- Experience working with data and managing databases
- Strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple studies or tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative on project tasks
- Excellent time management and logistical coordination abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with study participants and researchers
- Proficiency with data management tools (CRM, CMS, AirTable, Microsoft Suite)
- Aptidude for learning new tools
- Proactive in seeking and building relationships
Preferred:
- True passion, desire to drive athlete and product benefit through sport science
- Ability to handle multiple time sensitive priorities and communicate clearly
- Presentation/communication skills for representing the team
- Experience with outreach, recruitment, and community engagement is highly desirable
- Previous work in a university or healthcare research environment
- Experience with participant compensation processes
- Understanding of basic research methods and IRB protocols
- Experience with marketing technology such as email marketing platforms, customer relationship management systems, data analytics tools, and/or content management systems
Responsibilities:
- Execute and document athlete communications in accordance with overall team strategy
- Oversee scheduling, coordination and athlete interface related to lab testing needs
- Perform audits and respond to athlete database needs to ensure profile data is accurate
- Manage athlete cohorts in alignment with team strategy to enhance athlete experience
- Develop acquisition plan to grow and maintain athlete testing database
- Execute and track recruiting efforts to gauge and inform effectiveness of campaigns
- Manage acquisition and recruiting materials to deliver brand aligned messaging to potential participants
- Explore new methods and tools used to interface with athletes to improve the process
- Partner and collaborate to deliver on team goals and extend impact
- Obsess the athlete experience and constantly seek ways to create value for participants
