The Business Office Manager performs and/or monitors the performance of all Business Office operations, including supervision of Business Office staff. In the absence of the Clinic Administrator and/or Associate Clinic Administrator, the Business Office Manager supervises the functions and operations of the entire NEVHC Health Center.
Skills Required
- Minimum Associate degree with previous business office experience (two years related office experience may substitute for one year of college).
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years progressive responsibility in health care, including two years of direct supervision and a minimum of two years experience working with low income populations.
- If position is at a School Based Clinic, willingness to submit fingerprints per CA DOJ and no adverse findings.
- Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare and other state insurance billing and collections.
- Fluency in English (speak, read, write) with strong business English skills.
- Fluency in Spanish (speak, translate, read, write).
- Math skills sufficient to prepare spreadsheets, calculate/balance invoices and expense reports, and determine patient eligibility income.
