ABOUT THE ROLE
Pretty Goes is seeking a
responsible, organized and commercially minded Business Manager to oversee the
day-to-day operations of the business and ensure the smooth running of both its
physical store and online sales operations.
The successful candidate will be
responsible for monitoring stock levels, supporting sales activities, managing
customer feedback, maintaining proper store presentation across physical and
online platforms, and assisting with the coordination of marketing events.
JOB SUMMARY
The Business Manager will support
the overall day-to-day management of Pretty Goes, with responsibility for stock
monitoring, sales support, customer feedback, store presentation and
marketing-event coordination.
The role requires an individual who
is commercially aware, organized and comfortable working across both physical
and online retail operations.
The successful candidate will also
be expected to maintain accurate stock and sales information, support POS
operations and apply basic accounting knowledge in the day-to-day management of
the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels across the physical store and
online inventory.
- Keep accurate records of available stock.
- Identify products that are running low and communicate replenishment
requirements to management.
- Monitor stock movement and identify unusual variances
or discrepancies.
- Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks.
- Ensure products are properly organized and presented
within the store.
- Ensure online product availability accurately reflects
actual stock levels.
- Communicate stock-related issues promptly to
management.
2. Sales & Customer Management
- Support the day-to-day sales activities of Pretty Goes.
- Attend to customers and provide professional assistance
throughout the purchasing process.
- Process customer purchases using the approved POS
system.
- Provide customers with accurate information about
available products.
- Handle customer enquiries and feedback professionally.
- Record and communicate relevant customer feedback to
management.
- Assist in resolving routine customer concerns and
escalate significant issues where necessary.
- Support efforts to improve customer satisfaction and
encourage repeat business.
3. Physical & Online Store Management
- Ensure the physical store is properly arranged,
organized and presentable.
- Maintain appropriate product placement and visual
presentation within the store.
- Ensure products are displayed in a manner that supports
customer experience and sales.
- Monitor the presentation of the online store and ensure
products are properly displayed.
- Ensure product information, availability and
presentation are appropriately maintained online.
- Identify areas where the physical or online store
layout can be improved.
- Work with management to implement changes to store
presentation and product arrangement.
- Ensure the physical and online stores consistently
reflect the brand's standards and image.
4. Basic Accounting
- Operate and manage the store's POS system for daily
sales transactions.
- Ensure sales transactions are accurately recorded.
- Monitor daily sales records and transaction
information.
- Assist with basic sales reconciliation where required.
- Maintain accurate records of cash, POS and other
approved payment transactions.
- Identify and report discrepancies in sales or payment
records.
- Apply basic accounting principles to routine business
operations.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for sales and other
relevant transactions.
5. Marketing Event Coordination
- Assist management in planning and coordinating
marketing events.
- Support the preparation and execution of promotional
activities.
- Assist with the logistical arrangements required for
marketing events.
- Coordinate with relevant vendors, staff or external
parties where necessary.
- Ensure products, promotional materials and other
required items are available for events.
- Support the business during marketing activations and
promotional activities.
- Provide feedback to management on customer response and
event performance.
- Assist with post-event organization and follow-up
activities.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business
Management, Accounting, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1–2 years' relevant work experience.
- Previous experience in retail, sales, business
operations or a related environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial
record-keeping.
- Basic understanding of stock and inventory management.
- Experience working with physical and/or online retail
operations is an advantage.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience in retail, sales, business operations, or a related environment
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial record-keeping
