The Business Manager supports the CFO of StepStone Private Debt (SPD) in his day-to-day activities and acts as link between SPD Management and the Corporate Accounting Team of the group.
Essential Job Functions:The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented individual. Specific duties include:
- Ensure Corporate Accounting receives all required business information
- Review Financial Reporting by Corporate Accounting for SPD on a monthly basis
- Support Corporate Accounting in preparing full year local and consolidated financial statements for SPD
- Responsible for SPD Management Reporting
- Coordinate with group SPD Planning (Budget, Forecast)
- Lead ad-hoc analysis for SPD Management
- Optimize SPD revenue reporting and other processes
- Participate in improvement projects within SPD and as SPD representative at group level
- Coordinate move of SPD regulatory financial reporting and SPD tax reporting/planning to group
- Oversight regulatory financial reporting of SPD entities prepared by group
- Oversight SPD tax reporting/planning by group
- Continually assess areas for improvement opportunities
- Other projects and duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of eight years of professional experience in multi-national organization
- Must be sharp, articulate and highly motivated
- Must be a team player
- Highly proficient in using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client, investment and company information
- Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projections and achieve target deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and leverage technology
- Acute attention to accuracy and detail
- Professional demeanor and an ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to learn and implement new programs and processes
- Willingness to travel if required
