Position Overview:

The Business Manager supports the CFO of StepStone Private Debt (SPD) in his day-to-day activities and acts as link between SPD Management and the Corporate Accounting Team of the group.

Essential Job Functions:

The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented individual. Specific duties include:

  • Ensure Corporate Accounting receives all required business information
  • Review Financial Reporting by Corporate Accounting for SPD on a monthly basis
  • Support Corporate Accounting in preparing full year local and consolidated financial statements for SPD
  • Responsible for SPD Management Reporting
  • Coordinate with group SPD Planning (Budget, Forecast)
  • Lead ad-hoc analysis for SPD Management
  • Optimize SPD revenue reporting and other processes
  • Participate in improvement projects within SPD and as SPD representative at group level
  • Coordinate move of SPD regulatory financial reporting and SPD tax reporting/planning to group
  • Oversight regulatory financial reporting of SPD entities prepared by group
  • Oversight SPD tax reporting/planning by group
  • Continually assess areas for improvement opportunities
  • Other projects and duties as needed
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of eight years of professional experience in multi-national organization
  • Must be sharp, articulate and highly motivated
  • Must be a team player
  • Highly proficient in using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client, investment and company information
  • Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projections and achieve target deadlines

  • Willingness to travel if required
