The Role

Job Description
Join JPMorgan Chase to drive customer-centric digital transformation and elevate your career in design management.
As a Design Program Manager within the Design and Customer Experience team, you will collaborate with designers, product owners, and engineers to create customer-led products and services. You will manage workflows and processes to support digital design projects, ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative solutions.
Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a product portfolio, including project intake, assessment, resourcing, execution, tracking, and team capacity management.
  • Partner with Design Lead, Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Scrum Masters on Discovery and Delivery, as well as concept readiness and artifact quality.
  • Consult with design teams to develop clear plans, including size, scope, sequence, and next steps for design activities.
  • Facilitate cross-impacting project discussions with multiple Design teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with DCE, Product, Line-of-Business, Data and Analytics, and Tech teams to understand customer problem statements, market demand, and desired outcomes.
  • Track projects to ensure milestones are met, project status is documented, and reports are produced as requested.
  • Champion ongoing firm-wide and design team process improvements.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project/program management experience with 3 years in digital design or product teams.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle at scale.
  • Thorough understanding of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian/Jira Align, JIRA software tools, Monday.com, Figma, or FigJam.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in developing plans, prioritizing activities, and driving execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience coordinating multiple work streams simultaneously, proactively, and independently.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience at both a design studio and a large corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with design systems and toolkits.
