We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing team. We have a global footprint ready to serve customers with high-level product support and deep application engineering. The company employs over 500 employees worldwide dedicated to serving our customers and markets on virtually every continent. We have locations in Texas, and Oklahoma, as well as multiple overseas operations in Europe, and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards, analytics, data replication, ETL processes, data pipelines, and SQL.
- Proven experience in relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) writing queries, view creation, table creation, stored procedures, and database functions.
- Ability to interpret complex business requirements/questions into technical specifications and data-driven insights.
- Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture for Tableau Cloud.
- Advanced Tableau development skills required, including Tableau Prep and workbook performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of data normalization and ability to join data. Ability to create published data sources by extracting data out of multiple sources.
- High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
- Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
- Bonus: Knowledge of ERP systems, PLM systems, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Provide training and support to end users on how to navigate and utilize Tableau dashboards/platform effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong testing, coding and QA skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field or equivalent experience
- At least three years of experience designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau and data visualization best practices.
- At least three years in UI, UX space (can be concurrent or overlap with Tableau experience) demonstrable with evidence of using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or white boarding to illustrate product usability.
- At least two-three years’ experience with data replication tools and cloud-based data warehouse technologies. Bonus: Experience with Azure Managed Cloud databases.
- Experience working with large and complex data sets with ability to write complex queries and database view creation.
- Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.) on process automation and standardization.
- Experience working on a support team environment by documenting, researching, solving problems via phone calls or email ticketing system.
- Experience working directly with business analysts or business sponsors to gather and validate functional requirements and provide the design specifications.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed.
