Responsibilities
- Provide first‑level support on permissions and Power BI Service topics.
- Validate backend logic in SQL and perform source‑to‑dashboard checks.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Execute pre‑checks for data and refresh issues.
- Enhance report performance and driver forward user experience improvements.
- Document data lineage, transformations, and reporting logic.
- Establish structured standards for documenting and maintaining SQL and Power BI dashboards to ensure consistent, scalable BI development across the team.
- Support team in designing and developing new dashboards and semantic data models.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced Power BI skills, including report building, data modelling, DAX, and performance optimization.
- Strong DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Demonstrated skill in performance tuning and governance (RLS/OLS) including setting up and maintaining Power Automate workflows.
- Ability to apply UX best practices, ensuring a clear, consistent, and user‑friendly front‑end experience
- Experience building and implementing governance processes for SQL scripts, data pipelines, and dashboards (including versioning, documentation standards, naming conventions, and quality checks).
- Understanding of financial KPIs, P&L structures, cost center logic, and management reporting is an asset (preferably in a SAP environment).
- Clear communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comfortable working within an international team located in Germany and Malaysia.
