Appnovation is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence and Data Solutions Engineer to join our São Paulo team, delivering innovative BI and analytics solutions using cutting-edge technology.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the Business Intelligence and Data Solutions Engineer, you'll drive innovation using cutting-edge GCP technologies to transform how our clients leverage data. Delivering on architecture design and development, you'll build scalable BI solutions that deliver strategic insights. Your expertise will shape data engineering processes across global projects, collaborating with diverse teams to create impactful, data-driven outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Intelligence Development:
- Develop and maintain scalable dashboards and data models using Google Looker
- Implement LookML best practices for reusable, efficient analytics solutions
- Architect native and embedded analytics solutions and consult on data democratization
Data Engineering:
- Build optimized data pipelines for ingestion and integration across multiple data sources
- Implement ETL/ELT workflows using Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Data Fusion
- Manage structured/unstructured data in hybrid architecture environments
GCP Expertise:
- Leverage BigQuery for advanced analytics, BI Engine acceleration, and ML workflows
- Ensure seamless integration of GCP services with external platforms
- Implement cost-effective, scalable solutions aligned with business needs
Analytics and Collaboration:
- Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable BI solutions
- Create interactive dashboards and self-service analytics tools
- Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to align analytics strategies with business goals
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years in business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering
- Advanced proficiency in Google Looker, LookML, and dashboard design
- Expert knowledge of BigQuery, including SQL optimization and BI Engine
- Strong understanding of GCP services and data pipeline architecture
- Hands-on experience with Parquet, Avro, and ORC data formats
- Familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, Azure, or Databricks
- Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills
TECHNOLOGIES
A deep understanding of the following technologies is essential:
- Google Cloud Platform: Looker, BigQuery, Dataflow, Storage, Spanner, SQL
- ETL/ELT: Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Pub/Sub
- Data Processing: Dataproc, Apache Spark, Hadoop
- Analytics: Google Looker is essential, with Power BI or Tableau experience as a bonus
- Leverage APIs to integrate data sources and enable seamless analytics workflows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in retail analytics or data-driven industries
- Familiarity with Apache Beam for streaming data processing
- Knowledge of AI/ML workflows, such as BigQuery ML, within the GCP ecosystem.
- Experience with compliance and data governance frameworks
- Google Professional Data Engineer certification
